Tom’s Thumb

When my sister and I lived in San Diego we hiked almost every weekend. Then we moved to Arizona and realized how much mountain range is so easily accessible to us now. Our first hike since moving to Arizona was Tom’s Thumb Trailhead in Scottsdale, AZ.

The trail was well-maintained, the desert landscape was breathtaking and the feeling of how small you are, really comes to life on this hike.

We also found this awesome rock/boulder formation that legit looks like an elephants behind… so we had to snap a pic! 🙂

Tom’s Thumb was a great workout, about four miles out and back with a fair amount of up’s and down’s. Next time I will definitely bring my two pups!
